About the Role
KurtCFS is launching a new AIoT (AI + Internet of Things) service line for commercial buildings, focused on smart sensor installation, gateway setup, and building monitoring systems. We’re looking for an experienced low-voltage or structured cabling subcontractor to support our first wave of installations this fall.
What You’ll Do
- Install IoT sensors (temperature, humidity, motion, vibration, occupancy) in commercial buildings
- Run low-voltage cabling and mount gateway hardware in mechanical rooms, closets, and equipment areas
- Connect gateways to building network infrastructure (WiFi, Ethernet, or cellular)
- Assist with basic device configuration and sensor ID labeling per project instructions
- Test installed systems for connectivity and proper function
- Document installation locations and any site-specific issues
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in low-voltage cabling, security camera installation, access control, or building automation wiring
- Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, and rooftop areas
- Basic understanding of networking (IP addresses, WiFi setup, Ethernet)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on-site
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Prior commercial building experience preferred
Compensation: Paid per project/scope of work, based on experience and job complexity
